Hunminjeongeum was invented 600 years ago by King Sejong the Great,
but do you know who recreated it into modern Hangeul?
It was Ju Si-gyeong, an independent activist
who protected the Korean language from Imperial Japan.
Ju Si-gyeong devoted his life to the fight to preserve Hangeul.
