NX Programmer 
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, develop and maintain NC programs to support a fast paced Machining operations environment.
  • Will be involved in the prove out of new technology, first article inspection, fixture design, and day to day. programming using NX 7.5 or higher.
  • The NC Programmer is responsible for completing changes to existing CNC programs, and assisting with estimating or other inter-department technical requirements.
  • Specifies and makes provisions for tools, gauges, machines required to manufacture complex components.
  • Creates and maintains part programs for all types of numerical control applications taking into consideration such factors as machining parameters, cutter selections and control limitations, while ensuring the design intent and component quality is achieved.
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of directly programming NC machines.
  • Degree/Diploma from an accredited post-secondary program or equivalent practical experience.
  • Advanced Experience in programming of aluminum aerostructures, composite materials and machine fixture design.
  • Experience with 5-axis machining methods and fixture design required.
  • Experience with NX-version 7.5 or higher.
 
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel 2007 & 2010.
 
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
